MousEye allows us to measure attention to details in print advertising through a web browser. These methods track and play back mouse movements in real time, making it possible to remotely observe a person's navigation within individual web pages. This could supplement or even substitute for eye tracking studies that are now being used in web usability research and in pretesting of print advertising. MousEye software is now developed to a usable beta level, including an application to playback the respondent's movements as a movie. No special equipment or facilities are required. The respondent needs nothing more than a compatible browser and a web connection. |
